Recently we had the great distinction to work with a family who wanted to renovate the space above their garage. They wanted to remodel their garage to include a home theater area. The homeowners wanted to enjoy a night out at the movies, but didn’t necessarily want to leave the house.

Home theaters have been found in luxury homes for some time now, but building them above the garage is newer concept and one we hope to see more of. When renovating a garage to include a home theater, one can build up instead of out. The homeowners still have plenty of space to store vehicles, boats, and other equipment, but now have a lovely place to watch a movie or binge watch a series with the whole family.

Football season is going to be a whole lot of fun at this home.
